JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

The department Policies and Claims within the Customer Platforms pillar at Allianz Technology is responsible for the application development and application operations of claims and contract business logic of the core insurance system ABS (Allianz Business System) of Allianz Germany and the ABS Enterprise Edition serving the LoB’s Policies and Claims, including Motor, Health, as well as claims processes for Life. As cross functional application all collection and disbursement processes are also included in the department portfolio. Strong focus of the daily business is to automate the backend processes in order to ensure fast and reliable, customer-oriented processing with high performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Disciplinary leadership for a software development department in the ABS (Allianz Business Systems) domain and its surrounding areas consisting of >80 employees organized in 6 teams.



Managing the department according to defined KPI based on entrepreneurship, strong customer- , goal- and result-orientation.



Development of sustainable solutions for automating policies and claims handling in close alignment with the ABS Core Competence Center. Proactive capacity management and resource optimization to ensure smooth and performant application run of ABS Germany.



Program and multi project management – managing large scale projects embedded into the client program structures (mainly Allianz Germany) and Customer Solution Groups (CSG) structures of Allianz Technology.



Active multi-level stakeholder management on C-, L1-,L2-,L3- level. Consulting clients and creating sustainable, efficient and economic solutions.



Defining the strategy for the department and embedding this strategy innovatively into the overall strategic context.



Leading employees through the change process towards agile working in cross-functional teams.



KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Allianz Executive Leadership ("manager of managers") or similar. University degree (information systems, mathematics, business information systems) or comparable. Fluent German and English.



More than 5 years' hands-on experience in software development as well as strong capabilities in IT application, system architecture, and large-scale program management (PMI / PMP desirable).



More than 5 years' experience in functions with disciplinary leadership.



Proven experience in change management of larger scale change processes.



Self-starting entrepreneur with strong goal- and results orientation.



Agile mindset as well as customer and service orientation.



Capable of driving technical, organizational and functional innovation taking controlled risks.
